Let The Christmas Spirit Begin

Now that the turkey has been eaten and the pies are all gone, it's time to get into the Christmas spirit. We took down the Thanksgiving decorations today. I bought a tree at Target yesterday. Target yesterday was crazy in case you were wondering. The girls are gone on a visit today so it was easier to clean and get the laundry done. I went to church. That was about it. Tomorrow when I go pick up the kids, I will get the Christmas decorations out of storage. Then we can go crazy. On December 8 we are going to Disneyland to check out their holiday decorations. You should know by know that we are big Disney lovers around here. So, that is about it around here.

Here are some more of our Old Apartment/New Apartment Pictures.

This is our old porch. It was small. The only things we kept there were a pile of toys and David's grill. It was so small we actually grilled while standing just inside the door. Posted by Picasa

This is the new porch. It is much bigger. Posted by Picasa

Now we have room for some plants, the grill, and some chairs. The washer and dryer are in that closet. Posted by Picasa

Plus we have room for the pile of kids stuff. We also have our own stairs and a private entry.  Posted by Picasa

THANKS GIVING!!!!

The first thing we did was me and my mom stuffed the turkey and put it in the oven. Then I cooked eggs for everyone but I only know how to make scrambled eggs. After we played “Disney Scene It”. That took a while but my mom won. Next, we played “Mario Party 7” but mom won because she got 8 stars. Finally, I helped mom cook the dinner. I pealed potatoes for mashed potatoes. At dinner there was all my favorites; turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls, corn and at dessert we had pie. We had pumpkin pie and cherry pie. David had a yellow cake with chocolate frosting.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Today we are relaxing and hanging out around the house. I cooked us a delicious turkey dinner. I think that was the best turkey I have ever cooked. I stuffed it, which I never did before. I don't know if that made the difference or maybe it was just this was the first Thanksgiving in a long time I wasn't stressed out. Anyway, the turkey was delicious. We also had mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, and cranberry sauce. For dessert we had pumpkin pie, cherry pie, and David had yellow cake with chocolate frosting.

Before dinner we played Disney Scene It and Mario Party. It was a great day. I hope everyone else had a great holiday. Here are some pictures.

Carolynn cooked us a yummy Thanksgiving breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast and peanut butter and egg sandwiches for David.

This is our bird. It had only been cooking about 2 hours. We cooked it for almost 5 hours.

Here's our table all set for dinner.

Catherine really loved her dinner.

Wednesday

Wednesday I went to my friend’s house to go to Knott’s Berry Farm. The first ride I was on was a spinning and it went to the side. Then I went on a rollercoaster that went back and fourth. The Jaguar was cool. The theme was Egyptian. The Silver Bullet was my favorite ride when your feet dangle and goes up side down 5 times. A ride that starts with an X went 80 miles per hour in two seconds and its steep!!! The last ride I was on was the Screamanator it goes really high and drops you and your feet fly in the air.

Wine or Whine

Today at work, we had a man come in to buy some baskets. He gave us all this wine… A lot of wine. I got four bottles of wine, two red and two white. Plus I got one bottle of grape juice for the kids. Anyway, I do not know a thing about wine. I never drank any in my life. I am not much of a drinker. I saw alcohol do some really bad stuff to some people I like a long time ago. After that, I never really wanted to be like that. So, does anyone know anything about wine? The four bottles I have are

California Classic Chablis
California Muscat of Alexandria
California Classic Red Table Wine
California Carignane/Rouge

The first two I am pretty sure are white wines and the bottom two are red. Maybe I will try them.

Carolynn went to the Knott’s Berry Farm today with her friend Kina. She will probably write all about it on her page.

Tomorrow is our turkey extravaganza. I got the bird in the fridge. I am ready to cook. Catherine wrote this list of things she is thankful for at school.

I’m thankful for David, Mom, Brett, Aaron, Elvis, Carolynn, and Hercules.
I’m thankful for school because I would be smart when I grow up
I’m thankful I have my family because I would have a home.
I’m thankful for God because He made me.
I’m thankful for food because I won’t die.
I’m thankful for family, Kitty, Elvis, Priscilla, David, Mommy, Daddy, and Jesus.

There sure are a lot of pets on that list.

That is all for now. Oh, yes and here are a few more pictures of our new place.

This is our old kitchen. The dishwasher didn't work. Only half of the stove burners worked and one of the drawers was broken.

This is our new kitchen. It's way better.

This is the old dining room. It was small and cramped and the cupboard over there had the washer and dryer in it.

This is our new dining room. It's much bigger and nicer.

KITTY TIME!!!!!!

Our cat is weird and her name is …… Kitty. She only drinks fresh water. If she has to, she will drink from a cup. At the weirdest times she wants someone to pet her, like when we’re cleaning. But when someone wants to pet her she does not want to be petted. She takes baths on people or on their heads. What Kitty doing now is she’s sitting on my window. I think Kitty’s favorite things to do are sleep, meow, sit in windows and getting petted. P.S. She hates dogs!!!!!

THE SIMPSON'S MOVIE!!!!!

Mmmmm..... Simpson's....

My favorite show of all time on the big screen! Coming to theaters in only 249 days and counting. WOO HOO!!

It is NOT Almost Thanksgiving!!!!

Where did this year go? So much has happened this past year that it just flew by. All in all, it’s been a pretty good year. It started out rather bumpy, but I worked it out and now it’s pretty good. I have a great job. I moved to a great new town and now I have a really nice apartment. The kids are doing great. David… well so far I am letting him live. Nah, just kidding… He is doing great too. This can only mean that the upcoming holiday season is going to be wonderful and that 2007 is going to be the best yet.

Parent teacher conferences were last week. Carolynn’s was cancelled because her teacher’s mom passed away. I did meet with Catherine’s teacher though. Catherine got really excellent grades. Her teacher says she is doing great. Carolynn got her report card too. She is doing pretty great too. She only got one low score in writing composition. Maybe writing on her webpage will help.

I am all set to start at Palomar College in the Spring. So is David. Unlike me though, he is just starting and has no set major. I am nearly finished with my Associates and I definitely have a set major. Anyone who can tell me that major will win a prize. What that prize is, I do not know. Maybe a basket.

David is still job hunting. I think he is going to break into a great job soon. It is the holiday season. Many places will be hiring for the season and then maybe from there he can move into a permanent placement. Everyone think employed thoughts.

Tomorrow I will try and get some more apartment pictures up. On the other hand, maybe not… I have been busy at work. I am building a new catalog at work and I never designed a catalog before. I know nothing about design. Nevertheless, this will be a great catalog.

That is it for today.

Sunday Bloody Sunday….. Is the name of a U2 song.

Not much going on this week. We finally got all the boxes unpacked and most of the stuff put away.

Did you see the video I posted yesterday? Those were a bunch of morons! First, the guy who did the video is a moron for wasting the money on that and second the people waiting in line all night to spend $500 to $600 on a video game system were a bunch of morons. Did you hear people were shot over these things out side of a Wal-Mart? Check out my friend Trisha’s page and the post titled “Oh. My. God.” for a news story about it. These people are nuts. We have a PS2, which I bought recently for $99. Mostly the girls use it to watch movies in their room. We have a Game Cube. We all have our Nintendo DS’s so we can play Animal Crossing. I have a laptop and David has his computer. I do not even know what I would need a PS3 for.

Yesterday David and Catherine went and got haircuts. Here are some pictures.

Carolynn has had her friend Kina staying over for the weekend. Here is a picture. For more pictures see the Ocean View.

Last night we went to church. We had not been since the first time because we were moving. It was Catherine’s first time. She said it was cool because she got to sing songs and color. Carolynn and Kina had fun too. Kina and her family go to the same church.

I changed the videos in the sidebar for this week. Last week we had 80’s videos and in our trivia, we had 80’s Trivia. This week we have David’s Scariest Videos and in our trivia, we have Music Trivia. Click on the play button on the video player to view the videos. Last week I had them set to automatically play, but this week I didn’t want to scare people. Also, I noticed that our website works best if you view it using Internet Explorer.

Today we went to the WIld Animal Park. It was nice to get outside and get some exercise. Here are a couple of pictures.

Weekend Fun

This was the best weekend ever because my friend Kina came over on Friday. When we got home, we played outside. Then I saw Kina do gymnastics since she had class. We had Pat and Oscar’s for dinner. We watched The Sixth Sense and put face cream stuff on. We stayed up all night.

Cathreine had to sleep on the couch because we were waching The Sixth Sense. I don’t think she had enough pillows. But she slept well.

On Saturday, we played hide and seek most of the day .Then me and Kina went to 5th grade church. Then we got Slurpee’s and we went to bed early.

Sunday, we all went to the Wild Animal Park. We played at the little park for a while. We drove little boats. It was lots of fun. Then I got a yo-yo. Then when we got home, we took Kina home.

Why I Don't Forward Many Emails

It's been a slow week, so not much to post. I will get on with more pictures of the new place this weekend. Also, Carolynn will have more pictures and junk because she is having a friend sleep over this weekend.

I got this email today and it just cracked me up so I thought I would share this with you.

To all of you:
I must send my thanks to whoever sent me the one about rat poop in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet towel with every envelope that needs sealing.

Also, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny Brown) who is about to die in the hospital for the 1,387,258th time.

I no longer have any money at all, but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special e-mail program.

I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me, and St. Theresa's novena has granted my every wish.

I no longer eat KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.

I no longer use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.

Thanks to you, I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an email to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

Because of your concern I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer can buy gasoline without taking a man along to watch the car so a serial killer won't crawl in my back seat when I'm pumping gas.

I no longer drink Pepsi or Dr. Pepper since the people who make these products are atheists who refuse to put "Under God" on their cans.

I no longer use Saran wrap in the microwave because it causes cancer.

And thanks for letting me know I can't boil a cup of water in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face...disfiguring me for life.

I no longer check the coin return on pay phones because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.

I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.

I no longer receive packages from UPS or FedEx since they are actually Al Qaeda in disguise.

I no longer shop at Target since they are French and don't support our American troops or the Salvation Army.

I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica, Uganda, Singapore, and Uzbekistan.

I no longer have any sneakers -- but that will change once I receive my free replacement pair from Nike.

I no longer buy expensive cookies from Neiman Marcus since I now have their recipe.

Thanks to you, I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big brown African spider is lurking under the seat to cause me instant death when it bites my butt.

Thank you too for all the endless advice Andy Rooney has given us. I can live a better life now because he's told us how to fix everything.

And thanks to your great advice, I can't ever pick up $5.00 dropped in the parking lot because it probably was placed there by a sex molester waiting underneath my car to grab my leg.

Oh, and don't forget this one either! I can no longer drive my car because I can't buy gas from certain gas companies!

If you don't send this to at least 14,321 people in the next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 PM this afternoon and the fleas from 12 camels will infest your back, causing you to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's beautician...Have a wonderful day....

School Stuff

In the last 2 weeks, I have been training for safety and today I’m a real safety. Now I don’t need to go school early any more because I’m afternoon safety. I hold a sign and let people cross. I’m a junior ambassador for my class. I get to paint signs. It is so fun!!!!!!

Yummy Candy

Last week or the week before, I went to church. I didn’t go to church this week or last week because we were moving in. But church is lots of fun. I sang and I did little games.

Also I’m selling candy and smencils to raise money for camp. In the candy box there is CRUNCH, BUTTERFINGER, 100 GRAND, and BABY RUTH. Smencils are good smelling pencils. The smencils smell really good plus they sell faster then the candy. I wonder why they sell faster? My favorite candy is Butterfinger, Nestle Crunch and 3 Musketeers. My favorite smencil is watermelon smell.

Happy Late Birthday

Last Saturday we worked our butts off working to move. However, last Saturday was special for another reason. Last Saturday, November 4, was David's birthday. We celebrated this weekend instead. He got his computer fixed. (It hasn't worked since January.) I baked him a cake, yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Here are a few pictures.

The Cake- I couldn't find enough candles. Maybe that's a good thing... We don't need to test our smoke detectors.

Blowing Out The Candles

The Beast

This weekend mostly we just unpacked. We are almost done. We started with the kids room. Then we did my room. Next, we did both bathrooms, the hallway, the kitchen and most of the dining room. We have to finish the dining room, the living room, and the porch.

Here is another installment of "Old and New"
