More Relatives

Yesterday was fun. First, Carolynn and I went and visited Chris, Sherri, and Taylor. It was a nice visit. Then we picked up Alyssa from my mom’s house and we went to her house. Then Aunt Paveena, Jonathan, Alyssa, Carolynn and I went to lunch at Carl's Jr. Then we went to the movies to see Enchanted. It was a good movie. It was kind of cheesy, but it was good. Jonathan and Alyssa did not want to see that movie so they just went and hung out in the mall. (We were seeing the movie at Ontario Mills.) I do not get to hang out with them a lot and my cousin Jonathan I do not think I ever hung out with, so it was fun. It makes my Aunt so happy when everyone is together.(Even if we have to wait on Jonathan and his Hollywood showers.)

Today my sister and her boyfriend (I believe his name is Chris but I just forgot so I cannot be sure) are coming over to spend New Years. I am making tasty treats and we will have a fun time. I am also making a video about 2007 that I should have posted tomorrow. Look for it. It is a long one.

Relatives

It was a long day of driving. But it was fun. I will write more about it tomorrow. I forgot my camera so I only got two pictures I took with my phone. Here they are. Until tomorrow you can just guess.

Reading

Last night, I went out to the Barnes and Noble. I love going there. They are open late so I can go when the kids are in bed and it will not be as crowded. They have a Starbucks in there. I can go in with my headphones on, browse, and maybe have some tea or hot chocolate. My sister got me a gift card for there for Christmas. I used it last night. I got the January choice for my book club. It is called Happiness Sold Separately by Lolly Winston. I do not like it much so far. It is taking me a lot to read it. I think the subject matter may be something I did not realize I was not ready to read about yet. I also got The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini and Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen. Both of those are on my 2008 TBR List. I cannot start reading either of them until January 1. That is okay though. At the rate I am reading my book club choice, I will not need to read anything else before that. In addition, if I do, I have three new books on my shelf I have not got to yet that are not on my list.

The Final Saturday Of 2007

Today we are getting the house cleaned up. We are having a bit of a get together on Monday night. Tomorrow we are going to the movies with Aunt Paveena. We are seeing Enchanted. Therefore, we will not have time to clean tomorrow. Monday I have to work in the morning, so I will not have time then either. We are cleaning and watching my Simpson’s DVD’s. Catherine is not cleaning. I just do not get what is so hard about cleaning your room. I know I am not exactly a tidy person, but when my mom said clean your room, I did it (out of fear usually… I did not want to be grounded or have my stuff taken away or anything.) Catherine has no fear and does not care. I have already taken away most of her stuff. She did not care. She colored on herself with marker instead. She will not be joining us at the movies tomorrow. Maybe that will teach her. Carolynn is making chicken fried steak. It is her specialty.

2007

The best thing that happened to me in 2007 was my graduation from elementary school.

My birthday to Seaworld was good too.

Other great things were:
The Simpson’s Movie came out.
I got a turtle named Little Dude.
I got a Wii.
We went to Disneyland a few times.
We got a cat named Cleo.

The worst thing that happened in 2007 is my great grandma passed away.

We had to get rid of Mr. Wiggles.

So Far

I have been cleaning. Because we have people coming for New Years Eve. Sarah and her so called boyfriend. We are planning to have snacks and play games and stay up late and wait for new years. We are going to the movies tomorrow to see Enchanted. I got a new purse. I have been playing Webkinz. I have been playing Mario Galaxy on the Wii and I am pretty far in it. We fixed up all the pictures on the wall and it looks much better. Yesterday we had tacos and burritos and they were good.

Christmas Excitement

Our Christmas was eventful. The phone woke us up at 7 am. Carolynn’s friend Jessica got a puppy and she was so excited she just had to call. After that the kids just dug right into the presents. Here are some pictures.

After the presents, I went to make breakfast. We were having blueberry muffins. However, the oven wasn’t working. This was going to be a problem as we were planning to make homemade pizza later. So I was a bit upset. But we got it fixed. I think the pilot light was out. We played Wii most of the day. We had our pizza. It was pretty good. So good, we made some more last night. We watched The Simpson’s Movie. It was very relaxing. Of course, I had to get up and go back to work the next day.

Christmas Stuff

This Christmas I got a lot of things. This is what I got:

  • Link’s Cross Bow Game for the Wii with a little gun.

  • Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii.

  • A Wii Nunchuck and a Wii Mote.

  • Polly Pocket Animal Car.

  • Wii Play for the Wii.

  • Turtle slippers

  • Gift Cards and Money

With my money and gift cards so far I bought a new nightie and a movie. I got a new purse with Mom’s money.

Wee! Wii!

Last weekend I went to my grandma’s house, we opened presents I got three webkinz two cats Salem and Mr. Wiggles and a bunny named Delilah. Catherine got play food for Catherine’s cafe. Alyssa came over and she got a new chocolate phone. It is kind of an aqua color. We went bowling. I got some strikes and some spares. We had family pictures. There’s a picture of me and Catherine but you can’t tell I want to punch her in the face.

We went out with Aunt Paveena to get dinner after bowling. We got a portable DVD player for Christmas and we watched movies on the way home. I got a Wii from my Dad and some stilts from Taylor. When we got home we played some Wii Sports. It was fun.

We call this one "Baseball, Apple Pie, and Family".

We call this one "Baseball Babes".

This one is just Mom and Dad.

This one I call Parents and Daughters.

These are our "Sisters" pictures.

After the pictures, we went bowling. That was fun too. I took a million pictures and videos. Then we went to lunch with Aunt Paveena and Alyssa. That was fun. We ate at Steer N' Stein. It was so good. I hadn't eaten there in a very long time. Later we are going to play some cards and stuff. It was a super Christmas present.

Almost…

It is late. I almost forgot. That would have blown. Carolynn forgot too. I made it though Thanksgiving. I am going to make it through Christmas too. Well, at least I will try. I took some Nyquil. Maybe that is the problem. Who knows? I had better get some sleep. My Grandpa gets up really early.

Goodnight Carolynn

We had a long day. She fell asleep before she could tell you anything. Sorry. Try again tomorrow.

Last Minute

We finished the shopping. We almost finished the baking. I am covered in powdered sugar. We are hunting for my camera cord so we will be able to extract the pictures and make a cool movie this weekend. Catherine “put it away” but she cannot remember where. (Carolynn just found it.) I got my Grandpa camera. I got the tea set. I got a car full of presents to make Santa’s sleigh look like a pile of junk. I got more goodies than Mrs. Clause even dreamed of. The kids are excited. Tomorrow we are off... Over the river and through the woods…

Hug

Today we turned in our volcano project!! My mom drove me and Jessica to school. When the bell rang everyone looked at my volcano! When we had presentations I thought I was going but I am going first tomorrow. :( I hope I don't mess up on my presentation. Tomorrow my math class is going to find out how much the 12 days of Christmas guy spent.

Christmas Treats

We are doing some more of our baking tonight. Catherine ate the gingersnaps we had baked to take with us this weekend. She also ate all the sugar cookies. We are baking different ones today. Then we can hide them, perhaps we need a safe. Tomorrow we are baking our final two Christmas treats before our trip. We leave on Saturday morning for our Christmas adventure. I am bringing our rose tea set so we can have some tea with all of our Christmas cookies and cakes.

Speaking of Christmas treats, my Aunt and Uncle sent us a box of goodies today. There were jingle bell socks for the girls, Wizard of Oz Christmas ornaments, and a cute kitty ornament. There was homemade peppermint bark and homemade jerky. They are both very tasty, but you should not eat both one right after another.

David is watching A Christmas Story. Carolynn is hovering around the kitchen hoping to sneak some cookie dough. Catherine is cleaning the bathroom. She is still on punishment.

The 12 Days Of Christmas
On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Seven Swans A-Swimming, Six Geese A-Laying
Five Golden Rings
Four Calling Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Presents

Today Jessica and I exchanged presents she gave me Polly pocket but I did not open it but I will on Christmas. I got Jessica bubbleious lip gloss because she cannot chew gum because her braces and her fake tooth.

Volcano Town

I am finally finished my volcano project it looks nice. It has a little town with little houses, and a Christmas tree in the middle. Lava is spilling out of the top. It took three days to make it was fun though. The volcano is made of paper mache’ and the town is mad of cardboard. In school I am learning how to type fast, I can type 15 words per minute. We are also doing a fish project; we take a fish sketch, colored it, and write about all the parts.

An Eruption Of Christmas

Tomorrow Carolynn turns in her volcano project. Catherine is in the biggest trouble ever. First, yesterday, she was supposed to unload and reload the dishwasher and when I got home, the dishwasher was running. However, the dishes in it were the clean ones from the day before. She started the dishwasher as I came up the stairs. The dirty ones were still there.

Today, she was again supposed to load and unload the dishwasher. When I got home, she had not done it. Therefore, I sent her to her room. While Carolynn and I were cleaning the kitchen, I noticed a few things….

The snack container was nearly empty.
The two-pound box of See’s candy that I got from the banker at work was gone.
The box of chocolate covered cherries David bought me was empty.
A plate of sugar cookies we baked this weekend were gone.
A box of ginger snaps I put in the freezer was missing most of the cookies.
A bag of popsicles was gone.
Several of David’s ice cream sandwiches were missing.

So where did all this junk food go? Catherine. She sneaks it every chance she can get. All of the junk food I only bought, received, or made last weekend. It’s only Wednesday. I sent her to bed without dinner. I do not think she is hungry.

Here is a Christmas video from The Killers. This is the song from last year. They did a Christmas song this year, but the video is weird.

The 12 Days Of Christmas
On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Six Geese A-Laying
Five Golden Rings
Four Calling Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Once Again

Carolynn is almost finished with her volcano.

A Very Simpson Christmas

Nothing too exciting today. There is a DVD shaped present under my tree. Carolynn made this picture for me. She is studying computers now in school.

Catherine had her GATE class today. They disected fish. Catherine said it smelled so bad she almost barfed.

The 12 Days Of Christmas

On the 5th day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Five Golden Rings
Four Calling Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Delay Due To Volcanic Activity

Carolynn didn't get a chance to post today because she was hard at work on her volcano project. She will post twice tomorrow.

You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch

Work is terrible. There is just so little to do. No one is ordering baskets now. They already bought them, filled them, and sold them to someone else. There is a warehouse person who spent all day standing by the office door smoking and trying to hear what we were talking about. We were not talking about him, who would? I am sure his smoking there will do wonders for my cough. The day just dragged by. A customer sent cookies and our insurance agent brought candy and our printer brought gingerbread, so it was not a total loss. Then the monitor on my computer went out. Our computer person is bringing me a new one tomorrow. That should do a little to pass the time.

Carolynn is working on her volcano. We had chicken fried steak for dinner. Catherine is Catherine.

Tomorrow The Simpson’s Movie comes to DVD. I will not be running out to purchase it because this close to Christmas you should never shop for yourself. However, I am absolutely positive that there will very soon be a present under the tree for me and that will be in it.

The 12 Days Of Christmas
On the 4th day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Four Calling Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Hairspray

Today I built my volcano out of paper mache’ it looks cool. Then I manly read all day I am reading Voices after Midnight. Its good. We opened Christmas Eve presents. I got Black Beauty. I might read it next. Mom got hair Srpay. We watched it was good. David got Robin Hood men in tights. Catherine got a Lego monkey.

Right Down Santa Clause Lane

Today we were busy. However, we had a great day. David had his first weekend day off since August. He and Carolynn worked on her volcano project. It looked messy. Then the girls and I made some sugar cookies and decorated them. David came up with a plan to open our Christmas Eve presents today. He figured that since he had the day off and the girls and I will not be home next weekend until Monday afternoon, and he had to work anyway, we might as well go for it. Besides, the children were circling the tree like a couple of vultures. So Carolynn opened a new book, Black Beauty. I thought she would like that one. Catherine opened a Lego monkey. She loves Lego’s and when I saw that, it had Catherine’s written all over it. David opened Carolynn’s present to him, a DVD of Robin Hood; Men In Tights. He had that one before, but Carolynn accidentally sent it through the washing machine. Therefore, she got him a new one. He laughed when he opened it. It was funny. Carolynn knew he would laugh. I opened what David got me, a DVD of Hairspray. I had not seen that one before. We watched it this afternoon. It was pretty good. I could have done without John Travolta in drag, but over all it was good. It was sort of corny and goofy, but we liked it. For dinner, we made fish. It was good.

We got our Christmas lights all fixed up too. It’s almost Christmas!

12 Days Of Christmas
On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me,
Three French Hens, Two Turtledoves, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Catherine's Weird

Today we cleaned and played in are rooms! Catherine finally got are room clean! Therefore, we played a lot in it. Then we watched survivor then we watched woman’s murder club. After I played webkinz there so cute! We also backed holiday treats there delicious to eat. Catherine is probably making a mess rite now when I walk in she will...

So Be Good For Goodness Sake

While I bake, I am watching a Saturday Night Live Christmas Special. I love Adam Sandler’s Hanukkah Song. I figured that while I am sitting around waiting for the holiday treats to bake up, I would finish off the list of questions my mom sent.

Have you ever gone caroling? What kind of reaction would you get from your neighbors?

I have caroled before. In high school, I was in a choir and we caroled around the school and around the mall. However, if I did it here, first, I would have to learn some Spanish carols. Even if I did, my neighbors would think I was crazy.

Do you have any friends or family members whose birthday is on Christmas day? How would you deal with that? Let your child have a sleepover in July instead?

I do not know anyone whose birthday is Christmas. My friend Paula had a brother who was born on February 29. That is it.

That is all of them. If she sends anymore, I will certainly answer them.

Now back to baking and folding laundry.

He Knows If You’ve Been Bad Or Good

I am officially done with my Christmas shopping. Well, I say that, but you know I will find more stuff to buy. Today I am going to finish wrapping and we are going to start our Christmas baking. We are also going to tidy up, do some laundry, and fixing up the Christmas lights. David put some up earlier this week, but one strand is half out so he went out and got a few new strands.

I have had this terrible cough. I have had it for a while. I got some medicine for it now and I am hoping to be better soon. I was coughing so hard when I went to pick up lunch that a lady at the taco shop gave me a soda.

Tomorrow Carolynn is working on her volcano project.

12 Days Of Christmas

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Two Turtledoves and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Crazy Cat

Today Jessica was late to my house because she had an orthodontist appointment then we went to school. After school I played webkinz and there so cute. Then I went Christmas shopping I got a lot of stuff. For dinner, we had tuna casserole. Cleo has being following me all day weird cat!

He Knows If You’re Awake

Today my very nice co-worker, Jo Anna, bought me lunch at a local Mexican place. It was good. Very authentic tacos, much better than Taco Bell. I like Taco Bell anyway. Jack In The Box has some excellent tacos.

I made tuna casserole for dinner. My dad reminded me earlier that I forgot to mention how Catherine’s fish came out. Catherine’s fish was so good we went out and got some more to eat this week.

I am about to finish my Christmas shopping. I am taking Carolynn to do hers and I finally decided what to get my sister. Then it will be over. I love the holidays, but sometimes I think about how nice and peaceful it will be when they are over.

The Twelve Days Of Christmas

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me,
A Partridge in a Pear Tree.

He Knows If You Are Sleeping

What a day. I am tired. I had a million things to do. The Christmas party at work was great. I have to say Boston Market did a fabulous job. The brought it in on time, set it up, brought utensils, plates, and serving spoons. They even brought salt and pepper and honey and butter for the rolls. They even had a tablecloth. The food was excellent. One of our customers brought us a Yule Log cake. It is on my kitchen table now because we had pie from Boston Market and no one ate any. I am sure the girls will shove it down. After work, we went shopping and I only have one more present to buy. If my sister were not such a pain in the butt, I would be done. However, I have not found anything I like for her yet. After I find something for her, all I have to do if finish my baking and I am done.

Jessica's House O Fun

Today I went to Jessica’s house it was fun but we mostly studied for quizzes and did are homework. Then when we were waiting for my mom, I ate a burrito. After my mom picked me up, we went to stader bros. finally when we got home I hugged Cleo and went to sleep.

Wonderful Wednesday

Today I barley finished staring Sally J Freedom as Herself I mite finish it though. We are watching the Grinch its funny. Are cats today are licking everyone today its weird. School was cool not the best day ever or anything but, it was coo.

Dashing Through The Snow... Or Sand...

I did not mean to cause a whole big thing with yesterday’s post. I just thought those pictures were neat.

There is a movie coming out on Christmas Day that I want to see. How crowded do you think a movie theater will be on Christmas Day? I saw Toy Story at the movies on Christmas Day in 1995. The movie I am dying to see now is Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp. I think he will be great in this. He was great as Ichabod Crane in Sleepy Hollow. He was cool as Edward Scissorhands. He was the best as Capitan Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean. I think this will be great. I cannot wait to see it.

Tomorrow we are having a Christmas Lunch at work. I am having it catered by Boston Market. It’s going to be good.

Clarifications

Apparently, the previous post confused some of you. Let me clear it up.

The people in those pictures are The Spinuzzi Family. I am in fact a Spinuzzi. My brother Joe is also a Spinuzzi. My mom and dad are DeBar’s. So is my sister Sarah. My Grandpa is a Zibell. He is my mom’s father.

If you followed all that, you may have figured that my dad (married to my mom) is in reality, my step dad and my sister Sarah, is my half sister. However, I do not think of them like that at all, usually just refer to them as my Dad and my sister, and intend to continue.

I have not had much contact with my Spinuzzi relatives since I was little, though I have memories of them from that time. I have no ill will toward any of them. I simply do not know them. In the picture in the previous post, I recognize many of the faces but can name for sure only a few.

I simply borrowed those pictures from my cousin’s website that I found by accident. They have no date. They could very well be older pictures and Grandma may have gone to heaven since then. I am going to attempt to find out, however, like I said, I do not know these people.

My only contact with my Spinuzzi side is my half sister Nikki. She has the same father, but she has always lived with her mom and she does not seem familiar with them either. I have not seen her since she was about two, though we have e-mailed. Ironically enough, we found each other through MySpace, which I am still quitting.

I hope that covers all of your questions.

Tootsie Roll Tuesday

I am watching Winnie the Pooh and Christmas too it is weird. My favorite movie is the white Christmas. Its good to watch any time you feel like it. Little dude is going to kill me because he’s hungry.

Christmas Dip

We are still looking for that Pixie dip. My uncle suggested Calico Dip from Calico Ghost Town might be similar. In addition, Knott’s Berry Farm has a few dip mixes and one might be similar. Excellent suggestions.

I have decided to quit MySpace. It just was not for me. I was not looking for long lost friends or relatives there and frankly, I am not sure I want any of that finding me. MySpace had too much teenage drama and bored housewives. Besides, I have this.

I was wondering, if I quit MySpace, could people still use the internet to track me down? Turned out, yes they can. Also, by googling myself, I found these.

Apparently, I am related to these people. I recognize a few of them. I have not seen any of them in years and years.

This picture is my Grandma on her 80th birthday. I did not even know she was still with us. I had thought she had passed on several years ago. The things you learn on the internet. (I would like to thank my cousin Brian for unknowingly allowing me to borrow these pictures from his website.)
